Arjan Bassie (Hortics BV) about the construction process of the new Syngenta demo greenhouse

Tholen - In the fall of 2018, Arjan Bassie approached AAB to discuss the options regarding project management of thenew construction project R&D tomato greenhouse Syngenta in Maasland.

Arjan is the owner of Hortics BV, which is responsible for the operation of the new nursery. He says: "After two conversations, we decided that AAB would provide support in the permit phase, the design phase, the tender phase and the implementation phase. AAB was already a good acquaintance of Syngenta in the supervision of various projects. That gave us confidence. collaboration in this project."

Arjan Bassie en Carel van Ruijven (Stolze) kennen elkaar al lang. En dat is natuurlijk prettig. Carel: "Bij dit project hadden we een extra uitdaging omdat het hier de wensen van zowel Arjan (eigenaar) als Syngenta (gebruiker) betrof. We zijn uiteindelijk uitgekomen op een complete elektrotechnische -, watertechnische -  en groeilicht-installatie.”

Due to comparable tests, Syngenta opted for a conventional SON-T lighting installation, using Industria fixtures 1000W with a so-called 'deep reflector', 4 per grating. This amounts to approximately 190 micromole (1 fixture per 10 m2).
